1950s Materials: Ceramic Rare Ironstone covered butter dish from The Friendly Village collection, manufactured by Johnson Bros in England in the 1950s (from 1953). The cover is marked with a signature in red; the plate is a bread and butter plate. The pieces were made in England (Made in England). The lid measures 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter and 3 inches (7.62 cm) in height; the plate measures 6.10 inches (15.5 cm) in diameter. Both pieces are in excellent condition.
