Johnson Brothers China Set OLD BRITAIN CASTLES Brown Multicolored - Service for 10 - Crown Logo. A beautiful set of Johnson Brothers China in the Old Britain Castles pattern in Brown Multicolored. Set includes 10 6-piece place settings. This lovely set features fine ivory earthenware porcelain decorated with sweeping 18th century landscapes of historic English castles and countryside. Each castle name and date are inscribed below the scene, with a pink floral scroll border and a scalloped rim.

All pieces are marked with a crown and Johnson Brothers England, which is an indication that this is an older set, probably from the 1930s. The set is in very good vintage condition, especially given the age. The colors are still vibrant. There are two pieces with chips, one on the underside of a bowl, the other on a cup. Ten (10) dinner plates (10 3/4 diameter) - Blarney Castle. Ten (10) salad plates (7 5/8 diameter) - Belvoir Castle. Ten (10) lugged cereal bowls (7 1/4 diameter) - Norris. Ten (10) bread & butter plates 6 3/8 diameter - Heddon Hall. This is a really lovely set that would look beautiful on your table. A Note on Vintage Items. They are often not in perfect condition, rather have maintained their vintage charm.
