Johnson Bros Old Britain Castles Blue Transferware Tureen w Lid & Ladle England
1940's Vintage Johnson Bros Old Britain Castles Blue Transferware Tureen with Lid & Ladle Made in England This Gorgeous Vintage Johnson Bros Covered Soup Tureen is in Very Good Condition! The Beautiful Pictures feature an 18th Century landscape with the Castle, and different castles depicted on the lid and base, such as Berry Pomeroy and Raby Castle. It is made of fine earthenware. Nice and Clean, from a Smoke-Free Home! Crazing all over due to 80+ years of normal use.
The Ladle has some wear to the glaze, with a bit of the ceramic exposed underneath at the end of the handle, as well as 2 small chips on the rim of the (please see photos regarding condition). The Tureen with Lid measures 9" high, 16-1/2" wide, and 10-1/2 deep.
