Antique White Ironstone Teapot by Johnson Brothers England Early 1900s. Description : A lovely crisp, white ironstone teapot by Johnson Brothers from the early 1900s. It stands 8 ½ tall and can hold up to 6 cups of liquid. Its graceful, square type body shape and ribbed lower section provides just enough embossed decoration with a clean, simple appearance. It still bears the original Royal Ironstone China Johnson Bros. Printed mark on the bottom. Note: Refer to "Condition" below for additional information. Care: Hand wash soap and water. Capacity : 6.5 cups, 52 fluid ounces. Dimensions: Height: 8 ½ Length: 8 ¼" (from spout to handle) Width: 4 ¾". Product Weight: 2 pounds 6 ounces. Markings: Royal Ironstone China Johnson Bros. Style: French Country, Farmhouse, English Traditional. Condition : Previously owned - used. Condition is consistent with age and normal use. Clean inside with no stains. Spout and rim is smooth. There is a 1 ¼ hairline in the bottom.
Appears to be in the glaze although not certain. A challenge to detect as it cannot be felt easily. Really does not affect the beauty or functionality. Most product is acquired from auctions and estate sales. Prior to being offered, all product is carefully examined.
