There are no chips or cracks on any of these plates. They are in good vintage condition. The pattern of these plates, titled "Merry Christmas" ("A Genuine Hand Engraving"), was produced by Johnson Brothers from 1958 to 1995. They are made of ironstone and measure 10.75 inches in diameter. The design includes a festive depiction of a decorated Christmas tree, a fireplace with a wreath and candles, and wrapped gifts. This pattern is part of a larger dinnerware collection, and individual pieces like dinner plates, mugs, and serving platters can be found for sale. Note: Ironstone refers to a durable, glazed earthenware pottery first patented in 1813 by Charles James Mason. The pottery, also called "Ironstone China", was developed as a stronger, more affordable alternative to porcelain and became popular for its durability and simple design.
