English Chippendale soup tureen, white or slightly off white with burgundy floral pattern. 16.5 long, handle to handle; 10 wide; 5 high without lid, 9 high with lid. No chips or cracks that I can detect. I feel all items thoroughly to try to detect by touch what is not readily visible. Some crazing, to be expected with age. One half inch rough spot inside toward bottomthis isnt damage; it either happened in the manufacturing process or with ordinary use. Overall it is in very good to excellent used condition. This is an old piece that I believe originally belonged to my great grandmother, and then to my grandmother. Ive always loved this tureen but dont have room for large pieces in my apartment.
