Here is one very rare Johnson Brothers china (made in England) large turkey platter in the OLD BRITAIN CASTLES pattern. It measures a very generous 20 inches long by 15 1/2 inches.

It appears rarely if ever used - no chips, nicks, cracks, crazing or other damage. There is one raised bump of red transfer on the rim. On the back side there is a yellowish line, which at first glance, appears to be a crack however it is not.

This line is under glaze and is a factory flaw / stain from when the piece was made. The platter rings like a bell when tapped.
